Grace Walks Again

A smiling woman in rural Nigeria, showcasing traditional lifestyle with lush green background.

I’m Grace Okonkwo, a 61-year-old retired teacher from Anambra State. Early in 2023, my life changed dramatically when I suffered a stroke. One morning, I collapsed in the kitchen and woke up in the hospital, unable to move the entire left side of my body. I couldn’t speak clearly, and even sitting up became a struggle. My family tried everything — hospitals, physiotherapists — but nothing helped. Doctors said I might never walk again.

My daughter Nkechi saw a post about Majestic Life Centre for Ethno-Medicine on Facebook. It felt like our last hope. From the moment I arrived, I felt hope again. They started me on a herbal detox and physical therapy immediately. Within a week, I could move my fingers and say simple words. By the third week, I was forming sentences and taking steps with support.

Two months later, I was walking on my own, laughing with my grandchildren, and even singing in the church choir again. I feel alive. I got my life back.
